The Center For The Arts in Grass Valley presents Tahoe Comedy North with headliner Tina Kim, featuring Kellen Erskine and your host Chris Legate. Also appearing are the Improvers Nation and Danny McCammon in the guest spot. Doors open at 7:00 and show starts at 8:00. Special tickets for students and seniors (55+) are $7 in advance and $10 the day of the show. Regular tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show and are available at the Briar Patch, Cherry Records, Yabobo and The Center For The Arts. Headliner – Tina Kim 
Stand up comic Tina Kim is a former television news reporter who started her comedy career in New York City.  Tina has sold out her own shows in Chicago, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.  The Boston Globe says, “Go tonight”, The San Francisco Chronicle says, “She’s Fresh!”  

Tina blends her humor with stories about growing up in America, her wacky family, her keen observations, dating and so much more.  Tina has headlined in the states, Europe and Hong Kong.  She recently presented her own show for a month run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, CNN, Comics Unleashed and MTV.  Tina can currently be seen on VH-1’s Super Secret Movie Rules as one of the comedian commentators.

Feature Comedian – Kellen Erskine 
Fast-rising San Jose comedian Kellen Erskine has opened for big-name comics such as Norm MacDonald and John Heffron and is a recent finalist in the SF International Comedy Competition.

Host – Chris LeGate

Chris is best known for his portrayal of Mark Twain and is a PROUD member of Improvers' Nation.  He is co-owner and producer of LeGacy Productions.

 
Guest Spot – Danny McCammon

Danny currently performs improvisation in Sacramento with Comedy Sportz, and he is the artistic director and owner of Grass Valley’s only performing comedy improvisation troupe, Improvers’ Nation which has been called a "phenomenal local improv troupe" by The League of Sacramento Theatres.

A fast-paced audience-interactive comedic improvisation show set in a satirical war where the soldiers fight with wit and spontaneity, instead of guns, grenades, and gamma rays. War. Huh? What is it good for? For laughing at. With humor that ranges from "slap stick" to witty political satire, "The Nation" is an improv show that is NOT free from war wounds (ie. split sides and busted guts). Lay down your arms (on your armrests), and lets declare war on "tear"anny as we cry from laughing too hard instead.
