Cowboy Bill Martin – Headliner
Comedian Cowboy Bill Martin has built a loyal following of fans from coast to coast the old fashioned way – by working the road and bringing the funny.   The Texas native has toured with some of the biggest names in country music including George Jones, George Strait, Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts and has headlined some of the most prestigious clubs and theaters across the U.S. and Canada.

But don’t let the name fool you.  Critic Punch Shaw of The Fort Worth Star Telegram says, "Martin is not your typical country-cowboy comic. There’s no talk about trailer parks or inbreeding. Sure he wears cowboy garb on stage and he speaks with a Texas accent but his comedy touches people of all cultures.  In performance, he’s apt to remind you of Gary Busey with an edge. That is especially applicable, especially when Martin flashes a toothy grin and gives a gee-whiz shrug of his broad shoulders."

What makes Bill different on stage is that he isn’t scared to go outside of his comfort zone.   “After Blue Collar hit, it seems like every comic out there was trying to be them – and ‘Redneck it’ up”, says Bill, “and I didn’t want to do that.  But when you have a name like Cowboy Bill, peoples expectations are that you are going to be just like them.”

Speaking from the heart and tackling issues that other "country" comics wouldn’t dare to venture, don’t miss your opportunity to experience the creative and entertaining, Cowboy Bill Martin – you will leave pleasantly surprised.

Sid Davis – Feature
This former airline worker hilariously unloads his lost baggage on stage. Sid’s tales are fueled with ADD, a wavering ego and a grade school teacher wife, who wishes he was a child left behind. He is nationally recognized by Toastmasters International as the humorous speaking champion of 2004 and 2005. Don’t miss your chance to see Sid perform in his first Tahoe Comedy North appearance.

Erik Mackenroth – Host
Erik Mackenroth was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and moved with his family to Manteca, California in 1977.  As Mackenroth grew up, he formed a love for comedy. In elementary and high school, he entered talent shows where he imitated popular comedians of the day such as, Rodney Dangerfield.  Mackenroth went to college in central California where he majored in performing arts.  This helped to prepare him for his future in the entertainment field.

Critics of Mackenroth’s comedy compare him to his childhood mentor, Don Rickles.  They say that his style is extremely versatile and spontaneous.  The audience is always surprised and never expects what will come next.  One moment, Mackenroth could be poking fun at the audience, the next making fun of himself, or discussing something in life that is bothering him.

Mackenroth is also known for his strong character work.  Some of the personalities he is known for are, Stephen Zachary Solov the hockey player, and Fred the Iranian Boy Scout leader.  A must see is Mackenroth’s celebrity golf tournament; these impressions include Sean Connery, Gilbert Godfry, Ozzy Ozbourne, Chicago Cubs announcer Harry Carry, Bill Cosby, Dr. Phil, and Robert Shaw.  You can also find him at some shows as Tony Clifton where he is singing and yelling in character.

Personally, Mackenroth believes that comedy is comedy, meaning there should be no boundaries; as the point is to make people laugh.  He thinks that people should come to a show with an open mind and be ready to hear and see anything.  Comedy is sometimes subjective, but comedians are there for the love of the art of making people laugh.  Mackenroth loves what he does and aspires to do much more.

Aaron Wilson – Guest Spot

Local funny man Aaron Wilson takes making people laugh seriously. "One thing I try to do is make people pee their pants, if I can do that I know I've done well”.  Getting his start in Elko, Aaron hosted pig auctions then moved on to funerals and finally got his big break at an open mic in Sparks.  Since then he's appeared several times with Tahoe Comedy North in the Crown Room at the Crystal Bay Club, Lakeside Pizza and the Tahoe Gal.  "Eventually I'm going to go back and buy that dang pig farm!!"  Look for Aaron on Comedy Central and HBO.
