H A Distributors presents Tahoe Comedy North on Saturday, November 7th at the Crystal Bay Club Crown Room. Doors open at 7:00 and show starts at 8:00. Your headliner for the night is the insightful and fun filled Michael Mancini, featuring playful Sean Peabody with Lake Tahoe local, Lorri Waldman as your host. Exciting Mexican-American comedian Mari will be filling in the guest spot for the evening. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show and are available at the Crystal Bay Club, Incline Cleaners, Grog & Grist, Noah’s Video and New Moon Natural Foods in Tahoe City and Truckee. Michael Mancini – Headliner
Michael Mancini has a background in Law Enforcement and an insightful sense of humor. Michael has a high energy, action packed, fun-filled show full of real life experience comedy. Michael possesses a rare talent of blending tasteful humor and wit, which delights any audience with his superb performance of comedy. He is able to incorporate real-life situations relatable to any profession or group. He is a regular favorite at clubs, colleges and the corporate market. Michael has appeared numerous times on television including: A&E’s An Evening at the Improv, Fox’s Comic Strip Live, PBS’ Panel Talk andMTV’s ½ Hour Comedy Hour.
Sean Peabody – Feature
Sean Peabody is an up and coming comic from the San Francisco Bay Area. Sean was raised in Vallejo California and jumped on the comedy scene in Fairfield California. He has performed in clubs and colleges up and down the west coast and has worked with comedians such as, John Witherspoon, Bruce Bruce, D.C. Curry, Will Durst, Andres Fernandez, John Diresta and more.
Lorri Waldman – Host
Tahoe Comedy North welcomes Lorri back for her third appearance on the Crystal Bay Casino stage. Lorri started her career at the bowling center; played Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe and can now be seen frequently at Raley’s and the Post Office.
Mari – Guest Spot
Mari beat out 140 comics to be the first female winner in the history of the Rooster T. Feather’s Comedy Competition in Sunnyvale, CA! She was also a finalist in the national Las Vegas Laugh Across America Comedy Competition. Her likeable nature and Habanero-hot, Mexican-American perspective make her a relevant and exciting comic. Mari takes the audience with her on a surprising and zany ride through her many experiences as a mother, a wife, and as a misunderstood member of her Jewish husband’s family. She adds wonderful dimension to her act by seamlessly zipping between character work and good old fashioned comic story telling. Mari is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and has trained with William Esper and with Obie Award winning Stephen Rosenfield at the American Comedy Institute in NYC. Her TV credits include, Law & Order and a national commercial for Seagate.
